Thanks

Thanks for all the the thoughts and input Bro.'s. I have decided to let him play. May he always seek to glorify God in his life.

One thought that I never really considered was: "What would I do if he was offered a scholarship by LSU" (right now he has some D-II schools wanting him)?

I would've said yes, and been ecstatic about it. However when he goes to college, any college, they play or practice every Sunday-what then?

Bro. Wilkes, I know God has blessed your wife in her decision, and I believe she made the right decision, but would you deny your sons the opportunity to play college baseball?

If so, why? I find it hard to have practiced hours with my boys and to have always driven them to be the best they can be, if they can not pursue it.

What about armed forces, we would never question a young man's commitment to church or God if he joins the navy. Yet, he just signed a 4 year vacancy from the church pew. I'm not saying anyone has, I'm just kinda thinking out loud:)

I believe his faith is strong in the Lord, and I know he will make mistakes along the way. But, I trust that his decisions will reflect his Savior. Please pray for him, that his faith would never waiver. Thanks again.
